Arbatel de Magia Veterum in Latin first appeared in 1575 and attracted people with different interests. In 1655 it was translated into English by Robert Turner. Dr. John Dee mentioned this Grimoire in his “Mysteriorum Libri”. In the “Book of Ceremonial Magic”, A.E. Waite named it as a "ritual of transcendental magic" i.e. free from 'dangerous instruction which makes for open Black Magic.'

Beautifully written, its influence on the western esoteric philosophy cannot be underestimated.
